Skype API

Hi,

Skype has recently announced they will be shutting down support for the Skype API (which is used by Skype Auto Recorder if I am correct?).

Do you know of any ways that Skype Auto Recorder could continue to work after this? I have seen a couple of other recorders claiming that they do not depend on the API, do you know how this could be and if you would be able to support that? I have become quite attached to the simplicity and power of Skype Auto Recorder.

Many Thanks,
Ben

The claims I refer to are here:

Hi,

Thank you very much for the information. I missed that news.

I haven't done research how to live without API and I'm not sure for now if I will continue development. The only option that I know at the moment is SkypeKit, but need an additional investigation if it serves for recording needs.

Regards,
Kirill

Hey there,

AFAIK, Skype Desktop API support for call recording has been extended:

Previously we shared that we would retire the Desktop API later this year. However, I’m happy to share that we will be extending support for two of the most widely used features – call recording and compatibility with hardware devices – until we determine alternative options or retire the current solution.
